[For the past 5 years, whether or not it's a school break or not, Sugane is all too used to waking up early. More than that, he's been a light sleeper since about his third year as a Gatchamen. So, it isn't too surprising to find himself waking up earlier than usual thanks to some ridiculous

dream. Though that's when he instantly notice something seem different. Namely, Ryosuke's sleeping form seems bigger than before.

Actually, as he turns to himself; he was smaller as well. Even in his somewhat sleep-addled state, he did a mental check and imagine that the height difference between him and his 'spouse' was now even more pronounce. His mind slowly sinks in; if there's anything he remembers feeling (literally) small, it's that Ryousuke likely isn't going to spare him with this newfound discovery.

At least stealth had always been on his side, he could sneak out before the other boy wakes up. Groggily he gets up from the bed, and tries to get up.]

hello! this is just a note for an assignment due november 9th for p.e. class
the group is made up of: ryousuke kominato, chiyo sakura
the assignment is as follows: the three of you have to come up with a lesson for p.e. class. at least 45 minutes! there has to be warm up exercises, the main activity, and cool down exercises.
remember that not everyone is at the same level sports-wise so please keep that in mind so that everyone can participate!!

[Here's the thing that Sugane has notice for living more than a month with the baseball players of Seido High; it's that Youichi Kuramochi is loud and his presence easily recognizable even in the distance. So to find the Kuramochi had not only been ignoring his text messages but also remained unfound even among his close circles made Sugane worry.

He doesn't know what happened, or anything for that matter aside from the younger Kominato sporting a pretty bad hangover a few days prior. Naturally, it seems like the best person to talk about this matter is to the (suppose) patriarch of the household. At least to get a second opinion regarding Kuramochi's disappearance.]

Ryousuke, I need to talk to you with a certain matter.

[What an excellent dinner conversation starter. They weren't exactly the most conventional of families, but the occupants of #1452 had become accustomed to eating whatever Sugane cooked around the dining table. This time was somewhat different to the usual. Haruichi was out with friends for the evening, and of course, Kuramochi had been absent for a few days now. It was just Sugane and him.

Just as Ryousuke lifts his fork, he has to pause.]

What did you want to talk about?

[He has a fairly good idea. A very good idea, actually. But he's not exactly willing to rush head first into this topic.]

[it's been approximately a week after that group date disaster. kuramochi doesn't remember what happened towards the end of it, but he does know whatever he did pissed ryosuke off so much that kuramochi didn't have any memories of what happened a few days after that.

all he knows is that he really should've apologized sooner. but to apologize without knowing what for? he can't half-ass an apology like that, especially to ryosuke.

...and when he finally does remember a little more, kuramochi wants to punch himself. he probably did at one point as he stumbles back to the house after a week of absence.]

[Kuramochi's got either very good or very bad timing, depending on how you look at it. The good part is that if he's planning to apologise, at least Ryousuke isn't far away. The bad thing is... well, he's right here.

Ryousuke is making his way back home from his own individual practice. Most of his time is spent between school and the sports centre, but lately he's been familiarising himself with the batting cages even more so than usual - no doubt #1452's been quiet the past week. It's getting late, but just as he makes his way down the street, he spies a familiar figure stalking up the driveway.

Just as Kuramochi probably grabs his keys to unlock their shared front door, Ryousuke catches up. He stands a few paces away and faces Kuramochi's back, sports gear and a baseball bat slung over his shoulder.

Better say something.]

And here I thought someone was trying to break in.

[Ryousuke is curled up on the couch, Lovie the kitten mirroring his position right beside him. Maybe he's been napping just like the cat, but the two arms wrapped around his stomach say otherwise.

Someone tried to be too ambitious and drink the rest of the milk.]

[At Sugane's presence, he's sitting himself up - maybe a little too quickly, and with less of his usual grace. Maybe he's just grumpy from having been interrupted? Everything is Fine.]

[ honestly, this whole kissing business has gotten beyond out of control. a part of haruichi is wondering if maybe this is some kind of divine retribution for what little he remembers from after the group date, like someone's set some kind of curse on his head--more likely than not, it's just the landlord being the landlord. after dodging kisses from a laundry list of people starting with mihashi-kun and ending most recently with someone he had to dodge around on the street, haruichi is feeling beyond stressed.

and just like the first time, when things were wrong and didn't feel like they were going to fix themselves--when they'd woken up on this lawn with someone who was a stranger--haruichi slips into ryousuke's room. he knocks twice, but opens the door on his own and slides around the inside, shutting it behind him and letting his shoulders fall down as he leans on the door.

even if aniki's not around, he should be safe in here. tachibana-san's off somewhere and he needed to dodge around kuramochi... plus, if there's one place in holly heights where he feels safe (and where, perhaps, he won't receive a dose of sudden affection at all; that mental image seems so far off haruichi could have dreamed it up) it's right here, with his big brother.

snowball decides he quite likes this room and parades in with haruichi, snuffling around the floor curiously. ]

[In comparison to magic mistletoe, Ryousuke's gifts were fairly benign. A sweater, and a package containing a gaming console, some game titles Haruichi or Kuramochi might appreciate, and a collection of snacks - along with a mysterious pink box promising any ability of his choosing.

As soon as he'd learned of Haruichi's mistletoe dilemma, Ryousuke knew exactly what to ask for: to be anywhere at any time. After all, if he could be by his brother's side, he could fend off anyone who tried to approach. Glare at anyone who so much as looked at him funny. Childhood bullies and victims of the landlord's whims were two different breeds, but Haruichi was clearly distressed, and Ryousuke would put himself between his little brother and anyone if need be. It's what he's always done, ever since they were children. Growing up meant he could keep his distance, watch from afar without needing to interfere, but the instinct was always there. A deep, underlying need to protect his younger brother.

No doubt a stressful day for them both. Upon returning home from practice, he had promptly taken a shower, changed into his new pink (pepto bismal!) sweater, and fell asleep. That sole lump occupying the bed? That's Ryousuke, tucked under the covers with a book laying forgotten on his chest, softly rising and falling with each breath. Turns out instantaneous teleportation took a lot out of you. Who would have thought.]

[On the 16th of December, like any other neighborhood in Holly Heights, their house had been greeted by twelve boxes innocuous-looking presents. Three for each housemate and they're all from the Landlord. Interesting as his luck, he had received two pink boxes with each promising him 'an ability of his choosing'.

Of course, with a free pass like that; the most logical route would be for his powers. Second would be cooking abilities in case the first one backfired.

He had decided to test the waters in his bedroom, the others were out for awhile so at least he wouldn't make a fool of himself again. He had a promise to make and he wasn't about to mess it up the second time. He held out his hand and did his preferred way of transforming, one he first copied off from Joe until it became his own.]
