[Having made his admission, Ryousuke goes back to resting back against the couch, clutching the cushion between his hands. It's not necessarily bad. This is exactly what his mother would do, insisting he stay put as she fixed something up for him. It means someone cared.
Sugane returns quickly, but before he can accept any weird tea, Ryousuke has to send him a probing look, suspicious.

[No, he doesn't buy it, and despite the uncomfortable roil of his stomach, he stands up to take a closer look at Sugane's watery eyes. There's the tea tray still being held between them, yet to be accepted.]
[The sniffling, the watery eyes, the need to keep rubbing at his face - Ryousuke takes it all in, that discerning stare of his lingering longer than necessary. Translation: he's not convinced in the least. That's a real flimsy promise, and Sugane better know it.
And he's switched to Ryousuke-kun again. But this time no one's been drinking.
Eventually, he does comply though. Looks like Lovie's crept behind and stolen his spot, and Ryousuke gently picks her up, placing the kitten in his lap as he sinks himself back into the couch.]

[He speaks as if he's going to do it anyway, regardless of Sugane's answer.]
[Sugane isn't intimidated by Ryousuke, at least not usually. But admittedly the fact he sees right through Sugane's flimsy promise, that's rather unsettling. The prolonged eye-contact itself is making him feel uneasy.]

[It's not like it surprising, but it does leave him confuse that he's frozen to where he's standing.]
